Details in Nature Photography Workshops At my art shows and slide shows I hear it all the time: "I take a lot of pictures, but they never come out like this." Time and time again, I hear stories from photography enthusiasts lamenting their nature images—especially those so-called "macro images" of wildflowers, leaves and all the intimate details of nature. Here’s an opportunity to learn the simple techniques I use to light, compose and photograph my wildflower images and other macro images in nature. Join me, and you’ll be surprised how a few simple items you can pick up at a hardware store can transform run-of-the-mill snapshots into dramatic professional quality images. Mar. 12-14 Callaway Gardens Cost: $220 Join me for a weekend of shooting on the grounds of beautiful Callaway Gardens and along the nearby Pine Mountain Trail of West Central Georgia. They are designed for beginners as well as intermediate and advanced photographers. Participants will receive basic instruction in landscape photography, and learn simple and inexpensive techniques that can turn ordinary wildflower and close up snapshots into dramatic, professional quality images. Each evening, Joe will present entertaining slide presentations about his wilderness travels and photography as well as educational programs on close up and landscape photography. During the day, participants will use the techniques learned in lecture while shooting in the field. Saturday afternoon, participants will develop their own slide film and engage in a critique of the images shot during Saturday’s field session. Each workshop ends Sunday afternoon, following morning field sessions. Cost includes one roll of color slide film and processing. Accommodations not included.
